fundraising evening with Mark Inglis and Limbs 4 All
Tuesday 13th May 2008 at 6.00 pm

Mark Inglis is a climber, an inspirational speaker and an adventurer. At the age of 23, he lost both legs below the knee after surviving for 13 days in an ice cave on Mt Cook during prolonged bad weather. Since then he has set himself many targets - physical, academic and professional - and has succeeded in them all.

In 2003, Mark received the NZ Order of Merit as an Officer in recognition of his services to disabled people, he competed in the Paralympics and won silver, and on the 15th of May 2006, he fulfilled his boyhood dream - to stand on the top of the highest mountain in the world - Mt Everest. Mark is now focusing his next ‘Everest’ - raising funds for his registered charity Limbs 4 All.

Limbs4All is committed to helping some of the 400 million disabled people in the world to express their potential by supporting projects and individuals both within New Zealand and world wide. While we can’t help everyone we sure can make a significant difference to the lives of many, it is the first step that always counts.

So join us to hear Mark’s astounding story of his life and charity work, chat to World Expeditions, IO Altitude Training and Mike Henry Travel Insurance about how you can conquer your own next ‘Everest’.

Tickets are $45 per person and include arrival drink, canapes and inspiring talk from Mark Inglis. All proceeds from the evening will go to Limbs 4 All, and you will have the opportunity to donate either online or at the event. All donations are tax deductable. You will also have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Mark’s new book aimed at 10-14 year olds, ‘High-Tech Legs on Everest’ and a portion of the cost will be donated to Limbs4All by Random House Publishing.
